Author Terms

Welcome to Code Marché. We value our authors and strive to provide a supportive platform for selling your digital products. These Author Terms outline the terms and conditions for authors who wish to sell their products on our website (https://codemarche.com).

1. Eligibility

  • To become an author on Code Marché, you must be at least 18 years old and have a valid account on our platform.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information during the registration process and keep your account information up-to-date.

2. Submission of Products

  • Authors may submit digital products such as code, themes, templates, and other digital assets for sale on Code Marché.
  • All submissions must comply with our Content Guidelines and must not violate any applicable laws or the rights of third parties.
  • Code Marché reserves the right to review, approve, or reject any submitted products at our sole discretion.

3. Licensing and Ownership

  • By submitting a product, you grant Code Marché a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to sell, distribute, and promote the product on our platform.
  • You retain ownership of the intellectual property rights to your products. However, you grant Code Marché the right to use your name, logo, and product images for promotional purposes.

4. Pricing and Payments

  • Authors set the prices for their products, subject to any pricing guidelines provided by Code Marché.
  • Code Marché will pay authors a percentage of the sales revenue generated from their products. The current commission rate is specified on the author dashboard and may be subject to change.
  • Payments will be made to authors on a [monthly/bi-weekly] basis via multiple gateways which can change without any prior notification, subject to reaching the minimum payout threshold.

5. Refunds and Chargebacks

  • Code Marché handles all customer service and refund requests. If a refund is issued for a product, the author's share of the revenue from that sale will be deducted from future payments.
  • Authors are responsible for addressing any chargebacks or disputes related to their products. Code Marché reserves the right to withhold payments or suspend accounts in cases of excessive chargebacks or disputes.

6. Author Responsibilities

  • Authors must ensure that their products are original, free from defects, and do not infringe upon the rights of any third parties.
  • Authors are responsible for providing accurate product descriptions, support, and updates to customers as needed.
  • Authors must comply with all applicable laws, including intellectual property and consumer protection laws, and must not engage in any fraudulent or deceptive practices.

7. Termination

  • Authors may terminate their participation in the Code Marché platform at any time by providing written notice to Code Marché.
  • Code Marché reserves the right to terminate or suspend an author's account at any time for any reason, including violations of these Author Terms or our Terms of Service.

8. Changes to These Author Terms

  • We reserve the right to modify these Author Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date."
  • Authors are encouraged to review these terms periodically to stay informed about our policies.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • Code Marché is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your participation in the author program.
  • Our total liability to any author for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or their participation in the author program is limited to the amount paid to the author by Code Marché in the six months preceding the claim.
